Corrie Cupit
Psychologist
Master in Applied Social Science (Counselling), Grad Dip Applied Child Psychology; B.A

Corrie's specialty is working with children and their families. She received a Bachelor of Arts Degree at the Victoria University of Technology in 1995 and a Graduate Diploma in Applied Child Psychology at the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology in 1996. She then undertook a 2-year internship with a psychologist in Adelaide before registering in 1998 and starting her own private practice. Since registering, she has worked for herself as well as organisations including Baptist Community Services, Adelaide Psychology Consultants, Tabor College, the University of South Australia, the Department of Defence, Maxima Joblink, and De Poi Consultancy Services. Her experience has been in counselling (eg. relationship issues, depression, anxiety, PTSD etc.), teaching, recruitment and selection, Job Network, and vocational assessments (for WorkCover and victims of MVA's).

Her experience with children includes childhood disability and disorders, behaviour management, assessment, depression, anxiety, aggression, adjustment, school readiness, and abuse.

Corrie consults at Tavwick House from Monday to Friday.


Nigel Skeates
Psychologist

Nigel has a Masters Degree in Counselling Psychology, two post graduate diplomas of psychology (psychology and psychological studies), a Bachelor of Business and an Advanced Diploma in Salvation Army Ministry. He is registered with the Psychology Board of Australia and an Associate member of the Australian Psychological Society.

Nigel is a practitioner with experience across a range of psychological areas, including depression, anxiety, anger, stress, addictions (alcohol, drugs and gambling), grief and loss, relationship & marital difficulties, adolescents & young adult life issues, and general life choice issues. He has a specific interest in male health and wellbeing, and is particularly interested in the experience, role, and importance of fathers.

Nigel has a vast array of experience within both the private and non-government sectors. This includes working in mental health research and development, community mental health, psychological assessment and interventions for employment services, domestic violence, private practice as well as management and human resources.

Nigel consults at Tavwick House on Wednesdays and Fridays.


Trish McCann Mortimer
Psychologist

Trish McCann Mortimer has a psychology doctorate from the University of Adelaide that focused on wellbeing in midlife and older people. She also has a Masters Degree in Counselling, two post graduate diplomas (group work and early childhood education), and a First Class Honours degree in Psychology. She has training in a number of specific techniques including cognitive behavioral therapy, narrative therapy, mindfulness, acceptance and commitment therapy and the Paula Barrett 'Friends' program for children and youth with anxiety issues.

Trish has a background of school psychology, teaching, school py community work and training including 11 years in the Northern Territory with many occasions for working with culturally and linguistically diverse adults and children. Her experience includes teaching preschool, high school, TAFE and university level students as well as vocational rehabilitation for people with disabilities and numerous delivering “work readiness” programs designed for Indigenous and other CALD groups. Her experience and interests include working with children who have special needs (e.g. Asperger’s syndrome), anxiety, and adjustment issues and with adults and older people facing depression, grief, loss and other issues.

Tim Upsdell
Principal Psychologist
M Psych (clinical); M Psych (organisational); Grad Dip Ergonomics; Grad Dip Public Health Grad Dip Dairy Science; B. A. (Hons); B.Sc.

Tim Upsdell is the Principal Psychologist at Fleurieu Psychology Services His academic qualifications include a Masters in Psychology (clinical) and a Masters in Psychology (organizational). He has also completed a Certificate in Family therapy from the Dulwich Centre, and has training in a number of specific techniques including cognitive behavioral therapy, solution focussed therapy, narrative therapy, hypnosis and rapid eye movement desensitization.

He worked for 10 years with offending and homeless youth and 13 years in the area of vocational rehabilitation or people with disabilities, both physical and psychological before establishing Fleurieu Psychology Services in 2003

Tim consults at Tavwick House on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, GP axis Seaford on every second Saturday, Moana Medical Centre on every second Friday, and Torrens House Victor Harbor on Thursdays.

Linda
Receptionist

Linda has been managing the office at Fleurieu Psychology Service since 2008. Prior to that she has worked in a variety of Customer Service and Administrative roles.
